I Built a Website this Weekend

There won’t be a regular technology blog post this (US) Memorial Day.  It’s a time those in the US express appreciation for those giving all to protect this country.

I built a memorial of a different kind this weekend.  One to a fallen baseball player, taken tragically in an accident.

His family asked if I would build a website for the foundation they built in his name.  Not being a website guy, and a person lacking good design sense (I can tell you something good, I just can’t tell you how to build it), I set about to build this quickly and with quality.

With some help from Intente for the design elements, and using Squarespace as the tool, with materials provided in emails and a CD from the family, I cobbled together something respectable in just over a day.

The site is up, live and ready for business.  Certainly the family will make changes over time, and their goal of a web presence for their new foundation is complete.
